12-Year Program Website Update

The 12-Year Transportation Program (TYP) is PennDOT's mid-range planning tool used to match available monies with transportation projects statewide, scheduled over a 12-year period. The State Transportation Commission (STC), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), and Metropolitan and Rural Planning Organizations (MPOs and RPOs) work together to update this program every two years.

The results of the 2019 public outreach campaign were used to help guide the update process. This ensured the 2021 TYP follows not only the vision and goals set in the Long Range Transportation Plan but is also aligned with your priorities.

The STC approved and adopted the 2021 TYP on August 13, 2020. You can view the adopted TYP as a web document or print version to see what projects are planned in your area.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2021 TYP possible – PennDOT, the STC, MPOs, RPOs, and all those who participated in the public outreach process. Your valuable input helped shape the direction of the TYP. You did it!
