Comment Period for Regional Transportation Improvement Programs Concludes (Update)

The Public Comment Period for the 2023-2026 Regional Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) has concluded. The TIPs created by each Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Rural Planning Organization (RPO), as well as the TIP for Wayne County, were available for public review during their 30-day public comment periods.

The TIPs list priority highway, bridge, safety, and enhancement projects. The 2023-2026 TIPs will go into effect on October 1, 2022.

The 24 Regional TIPs, the Interstate Management Program TIP and the Statewide Initiatives TIP make up the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The STIP is also the first four years of the 12-Year Program.
